Harry-Potter-header

Gather ‘round, cocktail-loving cronies! We want to tell the tale of how we met Madam Cadora, the wizarding world’s most famous bartender, during a recent visit to The Three Broomsticks pub and inn. Known for serving drinks to some of the most famous and infamous witches and wizards, Madam Cadora spilled the divination tea and revealed some savory secrets about her famous past patrons.

She told us all about how Severus Snape religiously spiked his Butterbeer with Gillywater and how Harry Potter spit out his very first shot of Firewhisky. Madam Cadora was also kind enough to fill us in on The Three Broomstick’s most popular Harry Potter cocktails and how to concoct them from the comfort of our own Muggle-abodes. So get your goblets ready, because we’re eager to pass Cadora’s confidential cocktail information onto you. No wands or cauldrons necessary!

Death Eater Dirty Martini

Harry Potter Cocktails: Death Eater Dirty Martini

Harry Potter Cocktails: Death Eater Dirty Martini Recipe

It's been said that Death Eaters often discuss ways to vindicate The Dark Lord while sipping this cocktail. Known for its unmistakable sour taste, it’s evident why Lucius Malfoy faithfully orders a Death Eater whenever he’s busy making pernicious plans at The Three Broomsticks. We recommend smoked fish or anchovy spread to compliment the briny flavor. After guzzling down a couple, it didn’t make us want to swear our allegiance to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, thank goodness!

The Avada Kedavra Adios

Harry Potter Cocktails: The Avada Kedavra Adios

Harry Potter Cocktails: The Avada Kedavra Adios Recipe

Before being thrown into Azkaban for committing unforgivable crimes, Bellatrix Lestrange once drank too many Avada Kedavras and challenged every customer at The Three Broomsticks to a duel. She was carted away immediately and the only duel that took place was between Bellatrix and the bouncer. Spoiler alert: the bouncer won! Although potent, the Avada Kedavra Adios is the perfect party drink, but only when consumed responsibly.

Patronus Colada

Harry Potter Cocktails: Patronus Colada

Harry Potter Cocktails: Patronus Colada Recipe

Only the most skilled wizards and witches can cast the Patronus charm, but just about everyone (yes, even Muggles, too) can mix the delicious drink. You don’t need a wand made from dragon heartstring and phoenix feather to make it, just ensure there’s a blender and a handful of pineapple slices available. The frothy potion is a tropical treat twisted with a fresh coconut flavor, so it’s the perfect drink to serve in the summer. Pair a Patronus Colada with loaded nachos, quesadillas, or tacos for a delicious fusion of flavor!

Weasley Sour

Harry Potter Cocktails: Weasley Sour

Harry Potter Cocktails: Weasley Sour Recipe

The most difficult part about making a Weasley Sour is deciding which whiskey to use. The rest is straightforward! This cocktail is simple and reliable in a pinch (just like Ron). All you have to do is shake up all the ingredients, pour it in a glass, and top it off with a cherry and an orange wedge. The tangy drink is dubbed after the good-hearted Weasley family because of its orange-colored appearance. We suggest arranging an assorted cheese platter to accompany this drink.

Mandrake Julep

Harry Potter Cocktails: Mandrake Julep

Harry Potter Cocktails: Mandrake Julep Recipe

Don’t place an order for expensive Mandrake leaves just yet because this cocktail only calls for mint leaves. (The fresher, the better!) Madam Cadora tells us that this specialty drink is ideal for bourbon lovers and anyone who’s attending a derby. The powerful concoction tastes great when served with pimento cheese sandwiches and lemon-and-oil marinated chicken breast. We should also mention a Mandrake Julep is incapable of curing petrification: you’ll need real Mandrake leaves for that!

Godric Gryffindor's Famous Gimlet

Harry Potter Cocktails: Godric Gryffindor's Famous Gimlet

Harry Potter Cocktails: Godric Gryffindor's Famous Gimlet Recipe

If you think the Sorting Hat would exclaim “Gryffindor” when placed upon your head, then the Famous Gimlet is the drink for you. A popular cocktail named after house founder Godric Gryffindor, its lime-infused taste is adored by some of the most accomplished and intelligent wizards and witches. Minerva McGonagall and Hermione Granger order it whenever they dine at The Three Broomsticks. Serve this drink with cured salmon sprinkled with fresh lime juice and mouths will water.

Dumbledore's Lemon Drop

Harry Potter Cocktails: Dumbledore's Lemon Drop

Harry Potter Cocktails: Dumbledore's Lemon Drop Recipe

Former Hogwarts students can recall visiting Albus Dumbledore’s office and seeing a bowl on his desk filled to the brim with lemon drops. Everyone who knew the powerful headmaster knew his affinity for the sour candy that he simply couldn’t resist. While concocting this sour drink named after the treat, Madam Cadora uses fresh sugar from Honeydukes candy shop to coat the glass’ rim, but any sugar will do. This pungent drink, dedicated to the beloved headmaster, tastes both tart and refreshing, making it the perfect cocktail for adults with a sweet tooth!

The Bloody Baron's Blood Mary

Harry Potter Cocktails: The Bloody Baron's Blood Mary

Harry Potter Cocktails: The Bloody Baron's Blood Mary Recipe

If you plan on hosting a brunch, there’s no better adult refreshment to serve than The Bloody Baron’s Bloody Mary. Packed with all sorts of delectable goodies, the hangover cure (at least for us Muggles) reinvigorates the body after a night of drinking. It can also be made spicy or mild to accommodate all taste buds. Don’t worry about serving an entree with this classic brunch drink, just stack cheese, olives, and beef jerky on a skewer and it’s ready to serve. Also, we should mention that those who use our recipe will not be hassled by the bothersome Bloody Baron, we promise!

The Dark Lord's Deadly Long Island Iced Tea

Harry Potter Cocktails: The Dark Lord's Deadly Long Island Iced Tea

Harry Potter Cocktails: The Dark Lord's Deadly Long Island Iced Tea Recipe

There’s nothing delicate about this strong cocktail, so fill your guests’ bellies with lots of heavy foods before mixing this potent drink. Serving cheeseburgers, chicken wings, and even hot dogs to accompany this beverage is a wise idea. The Dark Lord’s Deadly Long Island Iced Tea is mixed with four different types of alcohol and topped off with a splash of soda, so it’s imperative to drink responsibly. Remember, it’s named after Lord Voldemort for a reason!

Entertain all of your friends and family using these Harry Potter cocktail recipes and your guests will surely have a magical (and intoxicated) evening. Before they stumble back to their homes, don’t forget to take a poll and find out which cocktail your guests liked the best. Leave your findings in the comment section below and be sure to tell us which cocktail was the most delicious. (Madam Cadora would love to know, too!) And remember to pair your drinks with Harry Potter costumes for a party to remember!

Avocado Toast DIY

Oh, avocado toast. That wonderful, delicious breakfast of champions. A favorite of Millennials and, apparently, the cause of all their economic woes. Or maybe not. But it’s also a great Halloween costume, if you’re into making your own DIY costume based on internet memes. (Which you should be, even if certain media outlets think it's a bad idea!) In this costume tutorial, we show you a few different ways to put together a fun avocado toast DIY Halloween costume.

Avocado over Toast Costumes

Avocado Over Toast Costumes

The first, easiest option is to get one avocado costume and one toast costume, and wear the avocado costume over the toast costume. Super simple. It’s as easy as, well, putting avocado on toast. This one’s best if you’re going alone, or if you’re not planning on coordinating costumes with anyone else. Plus, these two costumes won't set you back a mortgage payment.

Avocado and Toast Costumes for Couples

Avocado and Toast Costumes for Couples or Groups

The next option is for couples or groups. One of you throws on the avocado costume and the other rocks that toast costume, so when together you’re avocado toast. It really can’t miss. Unless, that is, you avoid each other all Halloween. But if you’re going to do that, then maybe a couples costume wasn’t the best choice, was it? We should mention here that couples costumes aren’t just for, you know, romantic couples. You can totally go with your friend. You’ve got our permission!

Plain Toast Costume

Plain Toast Costume

Here’s your chance to let your imagination go wild! Use this toast costume as a base, and add your own DIY avocado on top. We don’t recommend real avocado, because that would get all brown and disgusting super fast. Maybe some greenish fabric, like an old shirt. Just pin or sew that on and you’re good to go. You could also take a trip to the local craft or fabric store for some crepe paper or upholstery material.

Now these are the products used in the above designs. We’ve got an avocado costume, and we’ve got a grilled cheese costume. But the grilled cheese costume has a plain toast side. That’s it. Whaaa? Okay, seriously, making an avocado toast costume is as simple as making avocado toast.

That’s it! What did you think? Did it inspire you to dress as avocado toast for Halloween? And did it make you really hungry? We know what we’re having for breakfast! (JabbaCado toast!) While you’re thinking about Halloween costumes and food, why not take a look at our Halloween food costumes?

Easy Last Minute Costumes for Mom

Let’s be honest, sometimes we spend all our time planning our children’s perfect costume that we run out of energy for ourselves. If you don’t have a party to go to it can seem like a waste to don a full costume only for trick-or-treating. We have the perfect solution for those who want to get in the spirit but don’t want a full costume, or who (like us!) want to wear one to work every day! You can feel dressed up with your kids yet be comfortable walking around.

 Cozy Costumes

Cozy Mom Costumes

Cozy Fawn          Cozy Bat

Cozy and comfy is the way to be! Cozy costumes make great wear that is casual yet you feel as dressed up as the children. You can be almost any cozy animal you want. Show you’re a ferocious lion or a lovable fawn. Feeling a little curious and playful? A monkey is the perfect way to go! Going with a friend? Why not try and coordinate costumes. You can be a bluefish and a clown fish. Throw in a shark for a third friend and you’ve got the perfect group costume. Don’t worry if you think you can't pull it off, we’ve got you covered! These can easily be paired with pants or leggings to give you the full coverage you want.

Costume Dresses

Costume Dresses

R2D2 Skater Dress          Michelangelo Ninja Turtle Dress

Who says costume dresses can only be worn on Halloween? Certainly not us! You know you have a few of these tucked in the back of your closet. Pull 'em out for the perfect costume to wear! With so many different characters available you’ll even be able to match them. (That is, if they still allow that.) Go as Jesse and Woody from Toy Story! Group family costumes are becoming more and more popular. Try Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Star Wars. R2D2 helps out so much you almost feel like you relate the most with it. These also go great with leggings!

Costume Apparel

Costume Apparel

Wonder Woman T-Shirt

If you’re in the colder states, a dress may not be the best option. There are plenty of shirts and hoodies that can help keep you warm yet offer that dressed up spirit. Character hoodies are not only good during the cold months, but your kids will love seeing you wear them year 'round. Pokémon is popular with kids so why not be Pikachu with them? Heck, you are the family's Wonder Woman who holds the fort down. Flaunt it! A stylish shirt with a cap and jeans, you're set!

Hats and Accessories

Halloween Accessory Kit

Dalmation Accessory Kit          Leapord Accessory Kit

Hats and accessories are the easiest way to feel dressed in costume yet not put in much effort. Just wear what you want and add a bit of flair. Animal kits like a dalmatian or leopard go great with anything in your closet. Strap on the tail, slip on the gloves, and don the ears! A witch’s hat or Minnie ears are always an easy go-to costume creation as well. Really any crazy hat goes at Halloween right?

Whatever your style, Halloween is the perfect time for that inner child to come out. Have fun with the costume ideas that make you feel comfortable. It’s so easy to find something to match your children. It might even be the only time they allow it! What did you think of our style? Is there one you’re going to try this year? Dancing Pumpkin Man DIY Halloween Costume

Every year around late August and early September, people start to get the Halloween itch. Then October 1st rolls around and they're in full Halloween mode and taking to social media to express how excited they are for the holiday. One of the most recognizable and shared memes about fall excitement is Matt Geiler, better known as the Dancing Pumpkin Man. Geiler became an internet sensation when he first appeared in his full black suit and pumpkin mask, dancing to the Ghostbusters theme. The dance premiered during a Halloween night news broadcast on KVXO, a local station in Omaha, Nebraska. The video was then uploaded on the channel's YouTube page and has since had more than 7,000,000 views.

The Original Appearance

In the eleven years since making his debut, the Dancing Pumpkin Man has been all over the internet. Many GIFs and a countless number of parody videos have been made. KXVO even brought Geiler back for Christmas and Valentine's Day (still in the pumpkin mask, of course). Sporting a new, sparkly purple suit, he recently made a short-lived appearance on America's Got Talent and is featured in the latest ad from Dunkin Donuts. With popularity like that, a fun DIY of the Dancing Pumpkin Man was inevitable! If you're looking to show off your moves this year, check out the video below for some inspiration for your Halloween costume.

DANCING PUMPKIN MAN DIY COSTUME

The Finished Look

The black suit is an all-time classic. It's the more subtle option, though subtlety is objective when you're dressed in a skin-tight suit with a pumpkin mask!

Purple Suit Look

The purple suit is new. It's hip and flashy. While the purple suit may not be as recognizable as the black suit, it is still sure to stand out if you choose this option.

Products Used

Black Morphsuit    Pumpkin Mask     Purple Morphsuit

Getting the look here is really simple. You just really need to decide if you want to go with the classic black suit or the new purple suit. If you go with the purple, make sure you add something shiny to sparkle it up a bit. We used glitter and some iron-on sequins. Once you've got your suit, all you need is a pumpkin mask and some killer dance moves.

As far as meme costumes go, you can't go wrong by dressing up as the Dancing Pumpkin Man. Of course, there are plenty of other fun memes to dress up as for Halloween. You could be the "This Is Fine" dog, avocado toast, or maybe David Pumpkins? If you're looking for more inspiration, why not check out our full selection of Halloween costumes. Happy Halloween!

The Evolution of Thor

Marvel superhero Thor debuted in 1962, primarily the work of artist Jack Kirby, editor Stan Lee, and scripter (and Lee’s brother) Larry Lieber. While the original costume that they designed (blue armor, red cape, and silver winged helmet) is considered a classic at this point, it’s certainly not the only one Thor has worn over the past 55 years. In this infographic, we show how Thor’s appearance has evolved through many comic trends, while often calling back to archetypal features like his cape or winged helmet. We’ll also take a look at some other characters who were worthy of wielding Mjolnir, whether they were called by the name “Thor” (like Jane Foster) or simply gained his powers (Beta Ray Bill and Throg). So let’s cross the Bifrost Bridge into Asgard and see how Thor has evolved!

Justice League: Then and Now Header Image

Are you ready to unite the league? Justice League is set to hit theaters and be one of the biggest movies of the season (that is, until a little movie called Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes out). Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman (maybe?) will be welcoming newcomers Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg to the team in a fight to save the world. The latest DC heroes team-up is the fifth in what has been unnofficially titled the "DC Extended Universe" of films, following up the franchises' biggest hit, Wonder Woman.

Though Wonder Woman turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year (it recently became the highest-grossing movie featuring a superhero's origin story), the prior movies have been met with criticism and complaints of the films being too dark and grim. Warner Bros. has made statements that Justice League will address those complaints and even invited press out to visit the set while filming. We're also doing our part in bringing more brightness to the Justice League movie. Below, we've illustrated the team of heroes in a "lighter" fashion, similar to the popular 70s cartoon Super Friends. Each character still has their updated costume with some stylish 70s flair added to it. Check it out and use the slider to switch back and forth between the cartoon and the current film design!

The overall look here is modeled after original Super Friends series from 1973. The Flash and Cyborg weren’t part of the original group, but they did appear in subsequent versions of the team of superheroes. If you’re a fan of this version of the team, you can click below for a larger, printable image. Print a copy for some fun artwork for your office or use it as wallpaper for your desktop!

Early reactions on social media indicate that Justice League is a fun movie, we’re just not so sure it’d quite as fun as a Super Friends-inspired version. Would you watch a Super Friends-style Justice League movie or show? Are there any other styles you’d like to see these characters in? There are so many opportunities, but we’re just excited to finally see the Justice League unite on the big screen. If you’re going to see it, why not round up a group of friends to wear superhero costumes and form your own Justice League or Super Friends?

Old-Fashioned Halloween Costumes

Superhero and Star Wars costumes are great, but sometimes you want a costume that's a little more...old-fashioned. You know, like a witch or a vampire, maybe a ghost or skeleton. Those fun but scary costumes that are always in style! Or how about the classic costumes from decades past, like pumpkins and animals? Maybe even clowns and other funny costumes? Sure, costumes like this could sometimes be terrifying or outright incomprehensible, but we're reminiscing about the good ones! So if these are the types of old-fashioned, traditional, or vintage Halloween costumes that you’re looking for, then this guide is for you. Let’s take a trip through the Museum of Classic Costumes and find the perfect old-fashioned Halloween costume!

Witch Costumes

Witch costumes

Salem Witch         Wicked Witch         Glinda the Good Witch       Green Hag

Shop all witch costumes

Did you know that witch costumes have been one of the top-selling Halloween themes for decades? It’s true! They're wildly popular and there's such a variety of different styles, too. You’ve got historical Salem witches and fictional witches, like the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch of the South from L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. And then there are mythological witches, like the green-skinned hags. Besides the hags, there are so many cultural depictions of witches from American, European, and African folklore that you'll have a tough time picking your favorite. And you can also find witches from the Harry Potter books and movies, Hocus Pocus, and Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. There are so many to choose from!

Ghost Costumes

Ghost costumes

Child Spooky Ghost          Child Ghost Bride         Friendly Ghost          Soul Taker

Shop all ghost costumes

Ghost stories have been told by cultures since antiquity. You can’t throw a stone without it, well, passing right through a ghost. Because they’re incorporeal, right? Okay, it’s not a great metaphor. But what we’re saying is that there are all kinds of ghost stories and just as many ways that ghosts are portrayed. You’ve got ghosts that drag chains and do other spooky stuff, and ghost brides that haunt houses. Then you’ve got your “friendly” ghosts going bump in the night because they can’t see well in that sheet. (Safety first!) And then there are evil ghosts that steal souls, which gets into Grim Reaper territory! And speaking of that bag o' bones, let's look at some skeletons.

Skeleton Costumes

Skeleton costumes

Skeleton          X-Ray Skeleton          Karate Kid Skeleton          Ghost Pirate Skeleton

Shop all skeleton costumes

Skeletons are another classic Halloween costume theme. The earliest vintage skeleton costumes were just black clothing with white bones painted onto them. Our classic skeleton costume emulates that look, but we’ve also got a more modern, “realistic” take with the x-ray skeleton costume. Then there are fun, nostalgic costumes like the skeleton suits the Cobra Kai kids wear in The Karate Kid. And of course you’ve got ghost pirate skeletons, because skeletons go great with other kinds of costumes. What’s next? A skeleton ninja? Maybe a skeleton dinosaur? Or even a skeleton Victorian gentleman? Okay, those are all fantastic old-fashioned Halloween costume ideas!

Vampire Costumes

Vampire costumes

Dreadful Vampiress          Dreadful Vampire          Girl’s Vampire          Toddler Vampire

Shop all vampire costumes

Vampires are another supernatural creature from folklore. Once thought of as grotesque monsters, thanks to Bram Stoker’s Dracula they're now usually seen as charismatic and seductive anti-heroes. This dreadful vampire and vampiress are simply captivating in velvety Victorian dress! Some vampire costumes also feature batwing-shaped veils and collars or ruffles, like these ensembles for kids and toddlers. But you'll also find vampire costumes that are more gaunt and terrifying, as inspired by F. W. Murnau’s Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror. Just like with other Halloween costume themes, it's all about the variety!

Pumpkin Costumes

Pumpkin costumes

Kid’s Pumpkin          Bobble Eyes Pumpkin          Pumpkin Onesie          Dark Harvest Ani-Motion Mask

Shop all pumpkin costumes

Pumpkin masks are a Halloween classic, and we’re not talking about facial peels. (Pause for laughter.) But seriously, people have been carving faces into gourds and turnips for hundreds of years, making grotesque jack-o’-lanterns for spiritual or religious purposes, or even just to frighten people. That’s exactly what the Headless Horseman does in many adaptations of Washington Irving’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”. (It helps that the jack-o’-lantern replaces his severed head!) If you’re into scaring your neighbors with vintage Halloween masks like kids have for decades, a pumpkin is sure to do the trick. But pumpkin costumes can also be fun and totally not scary at all, as you can see in these kids and toddler costumes!

Animal Costumes

Animal costumes

Black Cat          Dalmatian          Mouse          White Rabbit

Shop all animal costumes

Animals are one of the most old-fashioned Halloween costumes. Vintage Halloween photos invariably include some kind of animal costume, and they’re usually pretty terrifying. You can try those looks, sure, or you can go for something far more cute. We recommend going the cute route! How about a cat costume? They're always in style, just like real cats! So are mouse and dog costumes. The White Rabbit from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is another classic storybook costume, too! And for adults (or anyone else) who doesn't want to wear a whole costume, there are all kinds of animal accessory kits!

Clown Costumes

Clown costumes

Men’s Vintage Pierrot Clown      Women’s Vintage Pierrot Clown      Frightful Clown          Evil Jester

Shop all clown costumes

Clown costumes have been worn for centuries, too, though they haven’t always been associated with Halloween. Pierrot was a French/Italian comic character from five hundred years ago, and both men and women continue wearing vintage pantomime costumes. The circus clown tradition is half that age, but it’s constantly being revitalized and updated. Some of those big-top clowns are cheerful and wacky, while others, like this frightful clown costume, are more sinister. Jesters are another tradition from centuries ago, one that’s been revamped over the past several decades because of the DC Comics character Harley Quinn.

Funny Costumes

Funny costumes

Sock Monkey          Two-Person Horse         Bacon Strip

Shop all funny costumes

Halloween isn’t always about being serious. It’s also about having fun and wearing something ridiculous and off the wall. Hand puppets have been part of puppeteers’ arsenal–or maybe “arm-senal”?–for centuries, though in childrens’ puppet theater they’re usually just sock puppets. So what’s more fun than a sock puppet as a costume? The same with a two-person horse costume, a staple of slapstick comedy. And then there’s bacon, which is pretty much in everything nowadays. Well, it’s in Halloween costumes, too. Which makes sense, because a side of bacon was the winning costume in one our favorite early Halloween costume contests!

Are you excited for Halloween? Are you planning on wearing something old-fashioned? Or maybe a modern take on a traditional Halloween costume? Tell us all about it in the comments below. Remember that scary costumes never go out of style so we’ll always have what you need!

Exclusive WWE Costumes

Think you’re ready to step into the ring with some of the greatest wrestlers ever? No? Well, that’s ok because you can just dress like them in these officially licensed WWE Superstar costumes from HalloweenCostumes.com. You can be the world heavyweight champion of Halloween by dressing in the attire of these Hall of Fame wrestlers. WWE costumes are a great group costume idea that can lead to some fun conversation. You can all even play your own intro music and work on your trash-talking skills. However, remember that you only look the part, so leave the wrestling moves to the trained professionals.

The Undertaker Costume

The Undertaker Costume

The Undertaker Costume

The Undertaker has been around since what seems like the beginning of time, consistently striking fear into his opponents. He is seen by many as an unstoppable force, which is pretty much true considering he once won an unprecedented 21 straight Wrestlemania matches. While the Undertaker featured several looks over his historic career, one thing that remained the same was the color scheme: black. If you’re going to dress as the Undertaker, you’re going to need black and lots of it. What better way than to don his signature black overcoat and hat?

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin Costume

Stone Cold Steve Austin Costume

Stone Cold Steve Austin Costume

In the late 90s, nobody captivated fans like "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Every time you heard the shattering glass sounds that kicks off his theme music, you knew it was about to get crazy. If you’re all up for fighting with authority and pulling off crazy stunts that include driving a monster truck into the arena or burying your opponent in a big pile of dirt, then dressing up as Stone Cold is the costume for you.

Kane Costume

Kane Costume

Kane Costume

If there’s one wrestler you don’t ever want to cross, it’s probably Kane. He’s big, he’s bad, and he’ll choke slam you through a table if he has to. Dressing up as Kane doesn’t mean you have to be big and mean, but if you're going to wear a bright red-and-black suit with that menacing mask, you're sure to get some hostile looks. Besides, part of the costume is becoming the character and Kane has never been a nice guy.

Hulk Hogan Costume

Hulk Hogan Costume

Hulk Hogan Costume

Hulkamania will never go away, and this costume shows it. Take a trip back to the 80s with the Hulkster's classic red-and-yellow-themed outfit. Get ready to take to the ring, flex those biceps, and listen for the crowd cheering you on. Just be sure you don't take off that shirt by tearing it in half. It may look cool, but you'll have to replace it. Complete your look with some yellow wrestling boots, authentic wig, and a championship belt.

Ric Flair Costume

Ric Flair Costume

Ric Flair Costume

Woooo! If you're looking to make a grand entrance wherever you go, then dressing up as Ric Flair is the best option. During his incredible career in wrestling entertainment, Flair is known for the grandest ring entrances, wearing an extravagant robe in various colors with sequins or feathers and his moniker "The Nature Boy" scripted across the back. Unlike most wrestlers who came entered to the themes of upbeat rock tunes, Flair's entrance music is a section from Strauss' classic "Also sprach Zarathustra", a drawn out section of horns that slowly builds up. If you're planning on the dressing as Ric Flair, these are the details you'll want to focus on for the character because once the bell rings, it's all business.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage Costume

Macho Man Randy Savage Costume

Macho Man Randy Savage Costume

Whether he was flying off the top rope to drive his elbow into an opponent or fired up during a backstage interview yelling “OH YEEEEAAH!”, "Macho Man" Randy Savage never failed to bring the energy. His wardrobe is typically as loud as his character. If you’re going to dress up as the Macho Man, be ready to go all out with bright colors, leather, and animal prints.

Bret "The Hitman" Hart Costume

Bret Hart Costume

Bret Hart Costume

Bret Hart is most known for his signature pink-and-black wrestling attire complete with black glasses and leather jacket he'd wear during his entrances. His finishing move, the Sharpshooter, was further evidence of how technically sound he was in the ring. That doesn't mean he always played by the book, but was still highly regarded by others. We're sure that if you were to dress up as Hart, he'd describe your costume (as he'd often describe himself) as the best there is, the best there was, and the best that ever will be.

WWE Costume Accessories

WWE Wigs and Wrestling Boots

Undertaker Wig    Macho Man Wig Kit     Hulk Hogan Wig

Ric Flair Wig     Kane Wig     Black Wrestling Boots     Yellow Wrestling Boots

If you're planning on dressing up as a WWE Superstar, you'll want to make sure your costume is complete. A pair of wrestling boots are perfect to wear in the ring or any Halloween party. Depending on who you're dressing as, you'll need the right hair, too. If you don't have long, flowing locks of hair to resemble your character, you'll want to pick up a matching wig for the most authentic look. If you're going to be Steve Austin, be prepared to put on a bald cap (unless you're bald already or really committed and willing to shave your head).

So, do you think you're willing to throw on a wrestling costume and go toe-to-toe with others to compete for the Halloween costume world championship? Who is your favorite WWE wrestler of all time? We're really big fans of the Undertaker because of his dark appearance and his devastating Tombstone Piledriver, one of the greatest finishing moves in WWE history. All the costumes featured here are exclusively made by HalloweenCostumes.com. You can check out our entire selection of WWE costumes here. Whether you're dressing up for Halloween or for a WWE event like the Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania, you're sure to be prepared for all the high-flying action.

The Evolution of Black Panther

52 years ago in Fantastic Four #52, Black Panther debuted as the first black superhero in mainstream American comic books. His alter ego is T’Challa, head of the Panther Tribe and king of Wakanda, a fictional African nation in the Marvel Comics universe. T'Challa was married to Storm of the X-Men for six years and, as Black Panther, fought alongside the Fantastic Four and the Avengers. The character was never as well-known as these Marvel Comics heavyweights, but that appears to be changing. Actor Chadwick Boseman was lauded for his performance as T'Challa in Captain America: Civil War, and the Black Panther solo movie is setting records for advance ticket sales.

Which makes this the perfect time to look back at how Black Panther has evolved, starting with his genesis in 1965 and debut the following year. We've included every major costume within the mainstream Marvel Comics continuity except for designs worn for only a short time. We also look at his Marvel Cinematic Universe appearances plus three other superheroes who briefly took up the mantle as Black Panther.

Which era of Black Panther was your favorite? Are you a fan of the classic Jack Kirby costume? Or maybe one of the gold-accented designs starting in the 90s? (Gold shows so well against the black costume, but it’s downright subtle compared to some other 90s comic designs!) How about the Captain America: Civil War or Black Panther solo movie variants? Quick and Easy Purim Costume Ideas

Getting ready for Purim, but don't have a costume picked out yet? We've put together some of this year's most popular costumes to help narrow your choices down! This year, Purim will begin the evening of Wednesday, February 28 and will end during the evening of Thursday, March 1. Traditions include participating in the three-day Fast of Esther, reading the Megillah (Book of Esther) aloud, giving gifts to the poor, dressing in costumes (our favorite part!), and throwing festivals full of food, drinks, and dancing.

The story of Purim follows a Jewish woman named Esther, who was chosen to be the wife of King Ahasuerus of Persia. The King's chief minister, Haman, develops a hatred towards the Jewish community and creates an evil plan to wipe out every Jew in their kingdom. Esther's cousin, Mordechai, hears of this plan and urges Esther to use her influence to stop the attack. The biblical story ends with a victory, as Esther saves her community from a potential annihilation.

Alien-Makeup-Tutorial-with-Torn-Face Effects

Anyone who has seen Ridley Scott's 1979 classic Alien is well aware of the famous Chestbuster scene in which an alien life form literally explodes through the chest of officer Kane. The scene is one of the more shocking scenes in the film franchise, not to mention one of the most memorable in the sci-fi genre. While the alien in the scene has such an iconic look to it, it may not be the easiest thing to do in regards to a Halloween costume. The Chestbuster alien costume would require the use of a prop, a feature some people may not want to commit to for a Halloween costume. Besides, if you're going to dress up as a creature from the Alien franchise, you're most likely to wear some form of Xenomorph costume. Since those can also be bulky, we've tried out some different makeup effects to get a more practical form of the perfect organism.

Our tear-away face alien makeup tutorial below provides some tips for creating a cool Xenomorph look while using the element of the alien bursting from the human. Learn how to create key facial features of the aliens as well as a scary bloody effect that you can use for other costumes as well.

Alien with Tear-Away Face Effects Makeup Tutorial Video

In space, no one can hear you scream...especially when your face is getting torn off.

Finished Look

Alien-Makeup-Tutorial-Finished-Look

All you need to achieve this terrifying look is a special effects makeup kit. This makeup tutorial is scary enough on it's own that you can wear something as simple as jeans and a hoodie with it. However, if you want to add a costume to go with your makeup, the possibilities are endless. You can embellish the alien with a more monster-type costume and accessories. You could maybe swap the black paint in the tutorial for a greenish color and create a solid zombie costume.

What do you think of this version of Alien makeup? Do you plan on putting together a sweet Xenomorph costume? Maybe you'd want to use the torn face effect for something else, like a terrestrial horror-themed costume. If you'd like to stick to Alien costumes for Halloween, keep in mind that the Xenomorph queen can get to around 14 feet tall, but you can consult this handy alien height chart if you'd like to dress as something closer to your own height.

Bunny Costumes and Easter Dress Up

Everyone loves the Easter Bunny. Much like Santa Claus in December, you can find find photo opportunities in malls across America for kids to meet and greet the Easter rabbit himself. If you're a parent who brings your kids for an annual visit with the Easter bunny, wouldn't it be more exciting if you were in that bunny rabbit costume instead of some stranger? If you’re planning on some fun for the family this Easter, nothing adds more fun than dressing up! We’re not talking about putting on your Sunday best as you head out to Easter worship, but putting on an bunny costume and getting your hop on.

One of the most well-known Easter traditions is receiving a visit from the Easter Bunny, who hides eggs for children to find. The tradition of Easter eggs comes from the old custom of fasting during Lent and has been coupled with a 300+-year-old German tradition of eggs being brought to children by the Easter Hare. If you want to be the real deal this year and bring some Easter joy without the hassle of an Easter bunny costume rental, here are some fun Easter dress up ideas.

However, it’s also fun to play the part with them and let them in on the character. When picking an Easter bunny suit, it's important to pick one that will be kid friendly. Some bunny outfits give off a creepy vibe, but there are plenty of options from a white rabbit costume to a complete mascot-style costume.

Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice! BEETLEJUICE! Just say the name three times and he will appear, ready to scare you and gross you out as well. Tim Burton's 1988 classic starring Michael Keaton as the ghost with the most himself, Beetlejuice sure burned an image into many minds. Those who were older at the time probably got a good laugh from all the ridiculous sight gags featured in the movie while kids were probably terrified out of their minds. Over the past 30 years, Beetlejuice has had quite a cult following and remained popular enough to warrant a sequel as well as a musical adaptation

Even though the movie is 30 years old, Beetlejuice remains a popular Halloween costume for obvious reasons, of course. If you want to be everyone's favorite ghost-for-hire this Halloween, you're going to need the costume and, more importantly, the makeup. Check out our video below on how to get the right look to make you appear dead and gross, just like Beetlejuice. You'll have to figure out how to pull off other antics like making your head spin on your own.
